Pistol Fundamentals (Calibre series)
We offer 2 types of training, both are relevant when using a pistol. See Below *
If you own a firearm, it is not adequate to simply understand the mechanics of it. Owning a firearm is a significant responsibility that requires accountability both when it is stored and while you are carrying it.
At OPPS, we train new firearms owners to develop a proper grip and stance to responsibly discharge their weapon for faster target acquisition and accuracy.
We also offer advanced training for LEO, Military, Security and Civilians. These course content includes room clearing, low light tactics, Restraints & Weapon Retention (RWR) , fighting in and around vehicles and structures, using cover, shooting while injured, shooting under stress and more.
All training is carried out following strict safety and compliance regulations. Any attendees failing to continuously adhere to all range rules, firearm safety rules and country legislation gives the instructor/s and host/s enough grounds to dismiss any person/s from a class without refund.
* (LA) - Live Ammunition
This is carried out by certified instructors, in groups no larger than 8 per instructor for safety and quality purposes.
The course is conducted at an approved shooting range.
Attendees will range from beginners to intermediate as there are many fundamentals included.
* (BB) - Ball Bearing
Not every person is able to afford a legal firearm nor has the time to wait for license approval( Country dependant), nor wants to own a real handgun.
High velocity pellet guns are a great addition to your defense tools while waiting of ra license or do not intend to acquire a license. However, the fundamentals of a high velocity air pistol are transferrable when using real handgun.
This is a great way to introduce new shooters, practice for beginners without spending copious amounts of money on ammunition.
NOTE- A BB with a velocity of 45 m/s (150 ft/s) has skin-piercing capability, and a velocity reaching 60 m/s (200 ft/s) can fracture bone. The potential exists for killing someone; this potential increases with velocity, but also rapidly decreases with distance.
Take note: Many rules and laws of real handguns will apply to air pistols.
